Review | Cafe Isobe Movie
This movie is about an average man starting a café after receiving a large inheritance. He falls in love with a customer and hires her.
The casting for this film is godly. Miyasako Hiroyuki was perfect for his role, and Naka Riisa really looks like she could be his daughter. Asou Kumiko was absolutely beautiful, and there was just something about her that made this movie very funny.
There were many scenes that I thought were really stupid, but the movie was so well-directed that I burst out laughing every time, and not only that, the story spontaneously change from comedy to human drama that really touched me. Although family members may not show it at times, deep down… they really care about each other.
This movie also explores the complexity of human relationships, and how hard it is to get along with everybody.
The message of this movie is to cherish every moment, because you’ll never know what you’ve lost until it’s too late. Your parents might be embarrassing, and you may think you’re doing something you really hate, but when you think back, they’re all sweet memories. This movie is nothing fancy, but I really identified with the main character, and it was a really fun and positive experience for me.
